This document explains the terms and policies that apply when you use our website, contact us, or engage with our services. Please read it carefully.
When This Policy Applies
This policy explains how to cancel a project or separately agreed ongoing service with Code Tech Agency, including website and application development, technical support, hosting arrangements, maintenance and retainers.
The accepted quotation, statement of work or agreement provides project-specific terms. This policy must be read with our Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy. Mandatory consumer rights take precedence over conflicting terms.
How to Submit a Cancellation
Send a written cancellation request through our Contact page or Support page. Include your name, company (if applicable), service or project, and quotation, invoice or subscription reference.
We will acknowledge the request, confirm the applicable notice period and effective date, and explain any outstanding work, charges, credits or handover arrangements in writing.
Before Work Is Agreed or Started
Enquiries and unaccepted quotations may be withdrawn without a project cancellation charge. Where an accepted and paid project has not yet started, we will review cancellation and any refund under the agreement, our Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.
Cancellation During a Project
You may request cancellation while a custom design or development project is under way. We will identify completed and approved work, explain any reasonable contractually recoverable costs, and calculate amounts owing or refundable. Any applicable statutory cooling-off or other consumer rights remain unaffected.
When appropriate, we will discuss the status of deliverables, client-supplied material, access credentials and transfer of work already paid for, subject to the project agreement and relevant third-party licences.
Monthly or Recurring Services
Ongoing hosting, support, maintenance, search management or retainer services are not included automatically with a website or application project. They require separate agreement setting out their scope, fee and billing interval.
To end an ongoing service, submit a written cancellation request. We will explain the effective termination date under the agreed billing arrangement and stop future billing after that date. Where relevant, charges already incurred and unused prepaid periods are handled under our Refund Policy and applicable law.
Where section 14 of the Consumer Protection Act applies to a fixed-term consumer agreement, a consumer may ordinarily cancel on 20 business days' notice, subject only to amounts owing and any lawful, reasonable cancellation charge. This rule does not apply identically to every business-to-business agreement.
Automatic Payments
Automatic recurring payments will only be used where separately disclosed and authorised by the client. The amount, frequency and cancellation method must be communicated before enrolment. This policy does not mean automatic billing is enabled for every client or service.
A written cancellation request for an active recurring-payment agreement will be used to arrange termination of future authorised charges from the applicable effective date.
Domains, Hosting and Third-Party Providers
Domain names, cloud services, hosting plans, licences and other third-party services may be subject to their own renewal and cancellation rules. We will disclose agreed third-party costs where relevant and help identify necessary renewals, data transfers or service termination steps.
Cancelling a Code Tech Agency service does not necessarily cancel a separate account or contract that you hold directly with a third-party provider.
After Cancellation and Your Rights
We will communicate the final account position and any agreed handover. Client data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy and applicable legal retention obligations.
Nothing in this policy restricts a statutory right to cancel, obtain a refund or pursue a remedy. Please contact us through the website if you wish to discuss the decision or raise a complaint.
